How You Get To Heaven
It is God's will that every person live a fulfilling life on earth and that they live with Him in Heaven after this life is over. God has made a way for you to go, and I would like to share that now with you.
God created the world in perfection. He created everything in the world, including people.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
This first man, Adam sinned, bringing death upon himself and all of his descendants.
Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Genesis 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
The penalty for sin is death, particularly, the second death which is eternal torment in the Lake of Fire.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
You have no way to save yourself from this future punishment.
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
God provided a way for you to be forgiven for your sins and go to Heaven.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Also see the latter part of Romans 6:23 above--"the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
God became a man in the form of Jesus, the Christ.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Jesus lived a sinless life and therefore did not owe the "wages of sin."
I Peter 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
He died on the cross, as was predicted in the Old Testament, to pay for the sins of all who will believe in Him.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. The account of the crucifixion is found in Matthew 27 and in each of the other gospel accounts.
He was buried, but arose on the third day and later ascended into Heaven.
1 Corinthians 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Acts 1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
